Polling station move

The location of the Christchurch Road polling station is under threat by Labour Councillors.

They have requested the station is relocated a further 400 metres away at Beechwood House. The relocation will increase the distance most residents to get to their polling station.

Local Beechwood Campaigner Paul Halliday said: "We have many concerns not at least if any elections take place in winter.  This will mean many residents will be forced to walk through the park in the dark in order to cast their vote."

"We understand the concerns about the traffic speeding and volume on Christchurch Road.  But the previous Liberal Democrat Councillors successfully campaigned for speed controls on Christchurch Road."
